Upcoming Tata and Mahendras electric cars launch in India 2023
Top Indian companies here are looking at the upcoming electric cars from Tata and Mahindra, two indigenous car makers that have been quite active in the EVR world.
It is well known that the future of electric vehicles and early adoption of electric vehicles has become more important for the Indian market as pollution levels and fuel prices have risen sharply in the last few years. However, even today, excluding the premium products of MG and Hyundai, only Tata and Mahindra have offered electric car options in the affordable range electric cars .
The good news is that in 2022 there will be at least an upcoming electric car from Tata and Mahindra. It gives a glimpse of at least some of the upcoming EVs and other electric models planned for the near future electric cars.
Mahindra eKUV100 electric cars :
Mahindra has finally launched the eKUV100 electric vehicle (EV) in India at Rs 8.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The KUV100 mini SUV-based EV gets a 15.9kWh liquid-cooled battery which is good for a claimed range of 147km. New features include connected car tech which allows you to set the temperature of the air conditioning before you get into the car. This is one of the most affordable EVs on sale in India and it rivals the Mahindra eVerito and Tata Tigor EV electric cars.
KUV100; Launched about five years ago, but never found a place on the market despite its features. The KUV100 was ahead of its time and buyers never understood its appeal and bargaining power electric cars.
The eKUV100 was unveiled at AutoExpo 2020 and was also spied on during testing some time ago. Expo with a starting price of ₹ 8.25 Lakh (old showroom) with a claimed range of 149 kilometers powered by a 15.9 kWh lithium-ion battery that produces 54 hp and torque of 120 Nm.

Tata Tiago EV :
Tata tiago is the cheapest and safest sedan, with a plethora of features and variants to choose from. Tiger is already on the market with the latest update of commercial Xpres TEV and the latest update of the same EV launched to the public by Tigor and Tigor duo.
The Tiago EV is expected to be priced at ₹ 6 million in showrooms, but the technical details have not been released yet. Mechanical aspects can be similar to the Tiger EV, which works with a 30 kW electric motor that develops 40 hp, offering a range of about 130 km.
The Tata Tiago EV will be a hatchback, with an automatic transmission and a five-seat capacity. Being a budget-oriented electric car,tata tiago is likely to miss out on fast charging support, which means the owners will have to reside with the normal charging speeds that could take around 7 to 8 hours for a full charge. Speaking of full charge, the Tiago EV is likely to last around 100 km with top speeds of 135 km/h electric cars .

Tata Altroz :
Since Tata has noticed sales growth of Nexon EV, they have also launched a darker version of it. Although the Nexon EV claims a range of 312 kilometers, the picture on the road is different, which has given rise to controversy.
When considering electric vehicles, the range is expected to be the most important factor and the range of the Altroz EV will be 500 kilometers based on the Ziptron electric powertrain. The range looks promising and will continue to raise high expectations, but the results on the road are different.
