Tork begins deliveries of Kratos, Krators R electric Bike in India 2023

Deliveries of the Tork Motors Kratos-R motorcycle have finally begun, and 20 bikes have been handed over to customers from the company’s headquarters in Pune.

Torque initially announced that they will start shipping units for their Kratos and Kratos-R motorcycles in April. However, the supply shortage that is plaguing the automotive industry as a whole, has had to push back the delivery timeline.

Pune-based electric two-wheeler start-up, Torque Motors, launched the new Kratos and Kratos R electric motorcycles in January this year. They are priced at Rs 1.08 lakh and Rs 1.23 lakh respectively, ex-showroom Pune. Although their deliveries were supposed to begin in April, they were delayed due to supply chain issues. Now, the company has finally started delivering its electric motorcycles.

Kratos, Krators R Features :

The new Tork Kratos is offered in a sole White colour scheme while the higher-spec Kratos R is available in four colour shades, namely White, Blue, Red, and Black. In terms of features, the Kratos gets multi-drive modes, reverse mode, a front storage box, battery indicator, crash alert and an anti-theft system, among others. The Kratos R, in addition, also features daytime running lights (DRLs), hazard lights, geo-fencing, and guide me home lights. It will get over-the-air (OTA) updates too.

Kratos, Krators R Battery & Range :

Powering the motorcycles is a 4kWh battery pack which offers a claimed real-world range of 120km on both models. The motor, and consequently the peak output figures, however, are different on both models. The Kratos pumps out 7.5kW and 28Nm of torque, allowing it to go from 0 to 40kph in 4 seconds, and on to a claimed top speed of 100kph. The Kratos-R is slightly ahead in terms of performance with its motor capable of generating 9kW and 38Nm, propelling it from 0 to 40kph in 3.5 seconds, and to a claimed top speed of 105kph.

They get three riding modes, namely Eco, City & Sport, and the range in these riding modes are rated at 120 km, 100 km, and 70 km per charge respectively. Tork claims that both these electric bikes can be fully charged in 4-5 hours using a regular charger. The Kratos R gets fast charging as well which can help it juice up to 80 per cent in less than one hour.

Tork has priced the Kratos and the Kratos-R at Rs. 1.08 lakh and Rs. 1.23 lakh, (ex-showroom, Pune after subsidies), respectively. Tork is also offering a 3-year/40,000km warranty on the bike, with the bike initially only available in Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai and Delhi.
