MG Comet EV Price list & variants Details explained 2023

MG Motor has finally released the MG Comet EV Price list and variants in the Indian market. after it revealed its starting price of Rs 7.98 lakh (ex-showroom). The Comet EV is available in three trims – Pace, Play, and Plush – and the MG Comet EV Prices go up to Rs 9.98 lakh for the top-spec model (ex-showroom).

The company will begin the MG Comet EV bookings on May 15, 2023, at 12 pm. Deliveries will start in a phased manner from May 22, 2023. Do note that these are introductory prices applicable only to the first 5,000 customers.

MG Comet EV Price & Variants

The MG Comet EV Price is Pace Variants starts at Rs 7.98 lakh, the mid-spec Comet EV Play is priced at Rs 9.28 lakh, while the top-end Comet EV Plush costs Rs 9.98 lakh (ex-showroom). We take a look at the equipment and features on offer on each of these three variants –

MG Comet EV Range & Performance :

MG Comet EV Range MG has equipped the Comet EV with a 17.3kWh battery that’s IP67-rated for water and dust resistance and gets an ARAI-certified range of 230km. MG is offering a 3.3kW onboard charger takes seven hours to fully charge the battery, but there’s no DC charging facility with the Comet EV. MG has sourced the battery from Tata Auto Comp. The Comet gets a single electric motor on the rear axle that develops 42hp and 110Nm of torque. MG claims a running cost of Rs 519 per month for the Comet EV. It gets drive modes-Eco, Normal, and Sports.

MG Comet EV Design :

On the exterior, the MG Comet EV features LED headlamps and tail lamps, LED DRls, and LED strip font and rear across the width of the car. The Comet EV has a unique design language with interesting details such as a full-width LED light bar and a chrome strip connecting the two wing mirrors or the asymmetrical window line with a vertical rear window. At the rear too, the Comet EV gets a full-width light bar, while the 12-inch wheels it rides on are the smallest wheel size of any vehicle currently available in the market.

The charging port for the Comet EV is placed at the front, below the light bar, and has an illuminated MG logo on the flap. The Comet EV is available in five colors with multiple graphics packages categorized under Sticker Style and Lite Pack.

The Comet EV measures 2,974 mm in length, 1,505 mm in width, and 1,640 mm in height with a 2,010 mm wheelbase. MG Comet EV gets 12-inch steel wheels as standard.

MG Comet EV interior :

The Comet EV has a white and gray interior dominated by two 10.25-inch screens – one for the infotainment system and the other for the digital instrument cluster. The front passenger seat has a one-touch tumble and fold feature, while the rear seat has a 50:50 split. The Comet also has a rotary drive selector between the front seats.

MG Comet EV features :

The MG Comet EV gets a tow-spoke steering wheel with pod-like controls, a floating dual 10.25-inch screen a to screen for a touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster, a 12-V charging port, and wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play. The Comet EV top-end will feature 55+ connected features, such as a digital Bluetooth key functionality for sharing of up to two people. It gets drive modes-Eco, Narmal, and Sports.

MG Comet EV Safety features :

The MG Comet EV safety suite consists of dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, a reverse camera, and sensors as well as dual front airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), front and rear three-point seat belts, and ISPFIX child seat.
