TVS Motor Company has launched its refreshed 2022 TVS iQube TVC electric scooter in the Indian market. It now comes with two new variants called S and ST in addition to the base variant.

All three variants of the new TVS iQube come with a wide range of standard features, including a refined user interface and a fully digital instrument console. The updated instrument cluster offers lots of integrated telematics, such as turn-by-turn navigation, Bluetooth, and TVS SmartXonnect function, as well as geo-fencing with smartphone connectivity, live location status, and other ride-related data.

The new 2022 iQube electric scooters include a larger capacity battery pack, improved driving range, touchscreen display, Alexa voice control, and faster charging, among other features. Let’s take a look at what has changed below.

The updated iQube has started reaching TVS dealerships across the country. Earlier in its launch, TVS revealed that the company has already expanded the availability of iQube from 32 cities to a total of 85 cities in India. Delivery of the new iQube is expected to begin soon.

TVS iQube Design :

The 2022 TVS iQube retains the design of older models with some modifications. While other electric scooters come with futuristic designs, the TVS iQube adopts a huge design language. So much so that it can go unnoticed as a conventional ICE scooter.

They come with twin telescopic front suspension with 12-inch alloy wheels and a disc brake. There is a dual shock absorber on the back. The iQube ST comes with a large boot that can carry two helmets.

TVS iQube Colour Options :

The base iQube comes with Pearl White, Shining Red, and Titanium Grey paint jobs. The iQube S is available in Mercury Grey Glossy, Mint Blue, Lucid Yellow, and Copper Bronze colours. The iQube ST comes in Starlight Blue, Titanium Grey Matte, Coral Sand, and Copper Bronze Matte color options.

The TVS iQube Base variant comes with a 5-inch color screen, while the iQube S variant gets a larger 7-inch color screen. The iQube ST variant has a 7-inch touchscreen display. The display displays various information like battery status, time, date, range, and driving mode in addition to normal speed, odometer, headlight, and turns indicator.

The TVS SmartXonnect feature lets you connect your smartphone to an instrument cluster to control music. Moreover, it shows battery status, incoming calls, messages, network status, and navigation. Not only that, it comes with integrated features like live vehicle tracking, crash alert, geo-fencing, and anti-theft alert.

TVS iQube Range :

In its Powertrain specs, the full range of updated electric scooters is powered by a 3kW BLDC hub-mounted motor that produces a maximum output of 4.4kW (6 bhp) and 140 Nm of torque.

However, the iQube and iQube S draw their power from a small 3.04kWh lithium-ion battery pack that offers a range of 100km on a single charge. Whereas the top-spec iQube ST has a larger 4.56kWh lithium-ion battery pack that offers a range of 140km on a single charge. TVS says these are real-world statistics. All battery options come with IP678 water resistance.

TVS is offering a total of three variants of off-board charging options, including the new iQube 650W, 950W, and 1.5kW. The first two options are available as standard throughout the range whereas the 1.5kW option is reserved for the top-spec variant only. Further, iQube and iQube S claim a maximum speed of 78kmph whereas a fully-loaded iQube ST can clock at a maximum speed of 82kmph. Interestingly, the iQube ST comes with a larger boot capacity of 32 liters instead of the 17-liter boot space available in the other two variants.

The iQube and iQube S variants can be charged with a 650W or 950W charger, while the iQube ST variant can be charged faster with a 1.5kW charger. TVS says it also worked on throttle response and optimized economy mode for maximum battery efficiency.

TVS iQube uses the best Lithium-ion battery technology and our battery life is designed to be the same or more than the lifetime of the scooter. However, battery attenuation of 20-30% can be expected around 60,000-70,000 km. Li-ion battery packs are IP67 certified for water and dust resistance and covered by a 3-year / 50,000 km warranty.

TVS iQube Price :

Prices for the updated electric scooter now start at Rs 98,564 and go up to Rs 1,08,690 (both prices on-road, Delhi) for iQube and iQube S variants respectively. The price for the top-spec iQube ST trim hasn’t been announced yet. The above prices are inclusive of FAME-II and state subsidy. Ex-Sh prices start from 1.62 lakh for iQube and Rs 1.7 lakh for the iQube S. Bookings for all three variants have commenced on the company’s official website at a token amount of Rs 999.
